This is what my migraines look like. Shooting pain through the middle to upper part of my frontal cortex followed by blurred vision and a state of complete confusion. I honestly don’t get migraines that much anymore but this one put me down for a good hour that felt like an eternity. Waking up with this same migraine almost everyday for a couple years was beyond debilitating. Just the thought of it happened would keep me up for days at a time. The drugs I had to take would turn me numb and into a walking zombie. I would have done anything for it to stop and I mean anything. Some of you know exactly what I mean.
But I’m here to tell you that it can change and you can absolutely heal your brain but it takes work and a commitment like no other. It wasn’t til I found flotation therapy and meditation. I loved floating but meditating on the either hand was very difficult for me. I had the perfect trifecta. Traumatic brain injury, ADHD, and Mild Dyslexia. It wasn’t til I made that daily commitment to put the time in and work with meditation to heal those migraines and forgive myself for all the shame I felt for not doing it years prior. Well this migraine was a reminder that I needed to start again. It had been awhile and my mind has been louder than ever. To much and your brain goes back to being injured again. But through some CBD products and a meditation app called @insighttimer was able to begin healing again. It’s the perfect time of year to make the change. Its just like working out again. The hardest part is getting there but once your there you feel so much better. Meditating is no different
